Visiting Monkey Forest Ubud

Monkey Forest Ubud or officially known as The Sacred Monkey Forest is a temple complex that is used as a nature reserve in Ubud, Bali. The place is the house for more than 300 long-tailed Macaques monkeys.

In the forest, there are approximately four groups of monkeys. Each group is occupying one territory in the forest park. The unique forest is one of the most well known tourist attractions in Ubud.

In this place, you will be able to see numerous monkeys are wandering around you. They are cute but you have to be careful with them however. Below are the tips to be able to safely visit the place.

Do not Feed the Monkey

Even though the monkeys look very cute and they are looking at you in cute faces that you just cannot resist to feed them, hold on that thought. The forest is the natural habitat of the monkey and we are entering their area.

So, for the monkey, they might not please with our visit. Thus, respect them. Do not fool around with the monkey and do not feed them. Once you feed them, they will follow you around because they think you still have some more foods to feed them. This can be annoying and they can suddenly rob your belongings.

Keep Your Belonging Tight

As stated before, we are entering their area, so, they can basically do whatever they like. One of the most annoying one is fool around with our belongings, pick them up and run away with it. To avoid that, hold your belongings tightly.
